I do believe that 30 is the new 20 and 40 is the new 30. I’m very interested in this stage of development as it applies to society as whole and how we makes sense of our world. I believe it to be a critical stage in life for many reasons. I also believe that it does not only apply to middle class white American college students. As a Hispanic raised between the United Stated and America. Emerging Adulthood definitely fits in with upper class Hispanics that are born and raised in Mexico. I look forward to seeing how this stage of development unfolds. I’m now working on a proposal for my dissertation my topic is 2nd generation female Hispanics perception of Adulthood.
